The Duchess of Cornwall launches the Big Battlefields Bike Ride from Paris to London, organised by the charity Help for Heroes, commencing from Les Invalides, Paris, concluding six days later at Horse Guards Parade, London via Compiègne, Amiens, Le Touquet, Calais and Chatham. Over 300 cyclists took part in the ride from Paris to London, where they were joined by a further 1,000 riders to form the Hero Ride for the final parade through London. The combined event earned more than £1 million for the charity, in support of war wounded servicemen and women. Les Invalides, Paris, Tuesday 28th May 2013.
