Hugues Bonte at the 'Challenge des Grandes Ecoles' polo matches at the Polo Club de Chantilly at Apremont, close to Chantilly, in the Oise department of Picardy, approximately 40k (25 miles) to the north east of Paris. An initiative of Dan Deville, president of the Association des Grandes Ecoles, Ecoles et Université de France. The Polo Club consists of 205 hectares and, during the polo season, houses 500 polo ponies. Chantilly is famous for the Château de Chantilly, home to the princes of Condé, cousins of the kings of France from the 17th to 19th centuries, and is well known for its horse racing and as the home of the Living Museum of the Horse.
